Prior to private practice, Andy clerked for the Honorable John C. Coughenour in the United States District Court and the Honorable Charles Mertel in King County Superior Court in Seattle. A clerkship is an invaluable education into the practice of law.
Following his clerkships, he worked at one of the most reputable law firms in downtown Seattle - Ellis, Li & McKinstry. There he learned several areas of law (estate planning, corporate governance, criminal defense and personal injury) under the direct supervision of some of the best lawyers in Seattle.
In 2010, Andy opened his own law firm where he continues to provide quality legal work. He drafts one of the most detailed and thorough estate plans in his profession, specific and custom to each individual client.
Andy is married with two children. He grew up on Mercer Island, Washington and learned to practice law in downtown Seattle. He is immersed in the minutia of estate planning, tracking every new development, in search of new ideas and attending as many bootcamps, CLEs and seminars as he can afford in relentless pursuit of mastery. He truly loves what he does and works tirelessly for each client. He is available 24/7. Andy is fair and expects nothing short of perfection. He takes pride in his work and is extremely detail oriented. And last, but not least, Andy is an avid fly fisherman and snowboarder. He has fished most of the great salmon and steelhead rivers in Alaska, British Columbia, Washington and Oregon.
